Community participation

Get out & get connected

Being part of your community is good for you. It helps you feel less alone, builds your confidence, and gives you things to look forward to. But sometimes it can be hard to get out and join in, especially if you need a bit of extra support to do it. That is where we come in.

Our support workers go with you and help you take part in activities you enjoy. It might be sport, art, cultural events, visiting family, or just getting out of the house and spending time with other people. Whatever it looks like for you, we want to help you feel connected and included.

Community participation support can help with things like

Transport Support

Getting out into the community is easier when you have a reliable way to get there. We can help you get to activities, events, and places in your community so you never have to miss out just because transport is hard to find.

Cultural Activities and Events

Staying connected to culture and community is important. We support you to attend cultural events, ceremonies, community gatherings, and other activities that are meaningful to you.

Learning and Education

We can support you to attend classes, training programs, or community education activities. Learning new things builds confidence and opens up new opportunities.

Trying new things

Want to try something new? We can help you find activities, groups, and programs in your community and support you to give them a go. You might discover something you love.

Getting to appointments

Whether it is a doctor, a therapist, a support coordinator, or a program you are part of, we will make sure you can get there on time and safely. No matter where you need to go, we will help you get there.

Getting Back to Country

Country is more than just a place. It is family, culture, and belonging. If getting back to where you come from feels out of reach, talk to us. We will do what we can to help make it happen.

Sport and Recreation

We can support you to join in sport, go for walks, swim, or take part in activities that keep you active and feeling good. Staying active is good for your body and your mind.

Visiting friends & family

Sometimes you just need help getting to the people who matter most. We can support you to visit family and friends and spend time with the people you care about.
