Your role as a Disability Support Worker
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities.
- Provide services such as support to access the community on a daily basis, as well as supporting NDIS participants to travel home (if their true home is not Broome).

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Administer medications and assist with medical appointments as required.
- Foster meaningful social interactions and companionship with clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of clients.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
- Helping people to set and achieve goals.
- Providing transport, attending appointments and advocating on behalf of NDIS participants and Aged Care clients.
- Arranging social activities and assisting with household tasks and activities like cleaning, meals and showering.
- Coordinating and implementing individual care plans in accordance with NDIS and Aged Care guidelines.
Your role as a Disability Support Worker
Requirements:
- Necessary: Access to a reliable vehicle
- Necessary: NDIS Screening Check
- Necessary: First Aid Certificate
- Necessary: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Necessary: Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Necessary: Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Necessary: Willingness to undergo relevant background checks and obtain necessary clearances
- Preferred: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Care, or relevant qualification
- Preferred: Previous experience in aged care or disability support
- Preferred: Flexible to commit to weekend, public holiday and evening/night shifts (for SIL supports)
